In partnership with Montana Department of Transportation, Missoula and Ravalli Counties, Municipalities, and organizations in the greater Bitterroot Valley, we encourage anyone with an event planned on or along the Bitterroot Trail to submit their event to this calendar. We hope you will use this as a consolidated resource to publicize your events and help promote coordination between events to prevent overscheduling of large group use of the trail or to assist in planning companion/complimentary events that would encourage users of the trail to participate in your events.
If you would like to have your event posted on this calendar, please click here to go to our event submission form.
Missoulians on Bicycles ride
March 24, Saturday. Bitterroot Bumble (54+ mi.) Meet at the Park and Ride lot 3 miles south of Lolo at 10 AM. Ride the bike path to Bell Crossing. Turn East, cross the river and take Willoughby Lane into the rolling hills of the East Side. Enjoy stunning views of the Bitterroots and meander down to Stevi for lunch at a local restaurant. Head back on the path or explore back roads and a few miles of gravel on the way back to Florence. Since the bike path from Missoula to Lolo is now open, there is an option to meet in town at 9 am to get in an extra 20 miles round trip. In the past, some folks have met at the Stevensville cutoff at 11 am to ride just the southern portion of the loop. Join us for any or all! Leader: Norman Singley, firstname.lastname@example.org. (406) 370 - 3739.

I am excited to announce that Missoula Adventure Crew (MAC) is partnering with the Bitterroot Trail Preservation Alliance (BTPA) to host a community clean-up day for the Missoula-to-Lolo section of the Bitterroot Trail on Saturday, March 31st!
We will be performing trash pick-up from the Buckhouse Bridge in Missoula to the crossing of Ridgeway Dr. and Glacier Dr. in Lolo. Missoula County Parks & Trails has offered to lend us safety vests, and garbage bags. MAC will provide some light gloves, but if you have heavy duty gloves, please bring them.
We will meet at the PEAK (5000 Blue Mountain Rd) at 10 am to distribute supplies, split up the group, assign different sections of the trail and organize a shuttling plan. We will then disburse and start clean up.
Jean with the Bitterroot Trail Preservation Alliance has graciously offered to host a chili feed after at her house for all volunteers!
Please RSVP below by March 26 so we can plan the correct number of vests and amount of chili needed.
