Watson Children's Shelter is very excited to be celebrating 18 years of Bike for Shelter on Saturday, May 19, 2018! This event helps raise a critical portion of the funding needed for the shelter and helps raise awareness about our mission to provide a safe and nurturing environment to children in crisis throughout Montana.
The event takes place at the Community Medical Center campus and in front of our home in the historic Fort Missoula area.
This family-friendly event has something for everybody: an 11-mile neighborhood bike ride and a 2-mile fun-loop. After the ride, participants can enjoy a barbecue lunch, cotton candy, and snow cones while listening to music on the lawn. There is even a costume contest, carnival games with prizes, face painting, miniature horses, and more!
For more information about the event and to register, visit Watson Children's Shelter's Bike for Shelter web page.
Riders participating in the 11 mile ride will be using the Bitterroot Trail from Post Siding Rd. to Blue Mountain Rd. between 9:30 AM and 12 Noon. Watch for some congestion during this period.
